La Tulipe is built around the idea of the tulip - a flower that recalls damp gardens in the morning because it's one of the first flowers of the season to open its bud; the tulip became a symbol for the rebirth of spring.
"I've always loved tulips and I decided to create a fragrance that tells the whole idea of the flower. To do this I wanted to capture its characteristic shyness to combine it with the physical expression of which it is carrier.
For me, the tulip is very interesting because it will not divest its odor through distillation. But by combining natural ingredients taken from different parts of the tulip, and other flowers, it has been possible to give life to this fragrance that we wanted to create." - Ben Gorham
