The infusion of black pepper and tobacco leaf absolute draws a distinctive intensity. The flower of grapefruit from Morocco, exclusive component of Tom Ford for Men, flourishes only three weeks a year. It is picked by hand and distilled immediately to preserve the precious essence.
- Base Notes -
The final impression is rich and exotic. The deep accord of amber, the essence of cedar, patchouli, vetiver mist and the oak moss ensure a smoke-scented glow. The glossy eurcryphia, a resin from Laos that produces a rich leathery essence, increases the heat booster. The cipriolo, never before used in a fragrance, is a root of India and has an animal sensuality and strengthens the scent with its eroticism.

The pure essence of rum, Haitian vetiver, caramel, vanilla, black truffle and Balsam Fir are then mixed with an accord of soft leather and amber. Tom Ford was born in Austin, Texas, but spent most of his childhood in New Mexico. After moving to New York and studying at New York University in 1990 he moved to Milan, entering Gucci as a designer of women's clothing, and later became creative director in 1994. Gucci will work until 2004, when he will leave the company. In 2005 he announced the creation of the Tom Ford brand, supported by former President and CEO Domenico De Sole of Gucci Group after close agreement with the Marcolin Group, a leading international eyewear, and Estee Lauder, the two brands have developed and released a fragrance and beauty to a collection of Tom Ford Beauty brand, launched in November 2006 with the signature Tom Ford Black Orchid fragrance, followed by Tom Ford Black Orchid Voile de Fleur. The first men's fragrance, Tom Ford for Men was launched in September 2007.
