The inspiration for this fragrance based on vetiver was Paris in the late twenties, because of its affinity for African art and culture and its enthusiasm for African music and dance. Gorham wanted to create an interpretation of a warm and romantic vetiver, a mix of Parisian modernity and African culture. A dynamic and unique fragrance in its expression and declaration that reflects the euphoria and the excessive lifestyle if the time in all its intensity.
Bal d'Afrique is a fragrance on vetiver unusual and atypical. The head notes, citrusy and unknown, lead to a heart very nice and flattering that extends into deeper base notes. An airy spicy, aromatic and indefinable in harmony with floral notes supported by a little woody and amber heat accompanied by a subtle, sweet and smoky vetiver. Bal d'Afrique is an aura rather than a perfume that deepens and balances exotic promises and familiarity in really exceptional way.

Originally a place for picnics outside of Mumbai, Chembur is the place where Ben Gorham's mother was born and grew up. Ben often visited the place as a child. After 15 years, he returned there to discover that this was completely changed and evolved. Only one thing remained unchanged, the smell from a nearby Hindu temple that floated gently to the landscape. The mild, spicy aroma filled the air, awakening childhood memories of Ben at home and with family. Sweet incense accompanied by spicy nutmeg, hot and smoky resin, fruity ginger, amber and a hint of fresh citrus.

Three fantastic men, Jop van Bennekom and Jonkers Gert from the journal with the same name and Ben Gorham from Byredo have had a fantastic idea: working together and create a fragrance specially produced for the magazine Fantastic Man - and therefore a scent for every fantastic man.
In this case, the superlatives are not enough, because: It's Fantastic - it's an absolutely fantastic perfume. A modern interpretation of an eau de cologne, the most classic of all men's fragrances, is what it should be - and that's what these three men have achieved in a very original way: bergamot citric closely with spicy cardamom and a change of anise gently creamy. The heart is bright and sunny thanks to the geranium and is emphasized by a subtle taste of lavender that is seasoned with a pinch of incense. The base is carried by smoky vetiver and salty patchouli.
Fantastic Man is both modern and classical, purist, elegant and special. It's a jewel so rare that women will not surrender so easily to the world of men without putting at least a fight.

The first meeting that Ben Gorham had with fragrances dates back to when, for the first time, smelt the perfume that his father used to wear during the '70s and '80s. Green was thus created as a tribute and a souvenir: a modern realization and an unusual interpretation of the exuberance of green notes that Gorham associated with his father.
Green is, as the name suggests, green. A soft and green scent, decorated with floral notes and a hint of the Hesperides that evokes the image of a summer lawn grew wildly. Green becomes softer as it grows and has a clean evolution, almost soapy, that radiates a subtle qualitiy similar to the skin, combined in the base with a constant heat.
The really consistent green scents are very rare and Green is not only satisfying, but it also stands out from the pile, with its floral quality, soapy, clean. A very special fragrance.

When Ben Gorham lived in Italy, he often to observed the Romany while washing clothes in the river nearby. Gypsy Water is exactly the result of the fascination that Gorham has towards the Romany people and their lifestyle. The perfume itself is a tribute to their free and independent life, proud and colorful, in harmony with nature. Gypsy Water evokes images of fresh earth, deep woods and campfires, and is a fitting tribute to the ancient myth of Romany life.
An appointment of the Hesperides and pepper in top notes, accompanied by fruit, spicy juniper berries that lead to a smoky-woody heart: incense, pine needles and iris create the impression of forests and fires, while a base of vanilla and amber sandalwood evokes images of colorful and animated embers.

The inspiration for Pulp is, as strange as it may seem, the English marmalade. And, in fact, Ben Gorham probably had in mind something similar when he created Pulp. Yin and yang, the union of opposites, from North and South, East and West - based on international basket of fruit. An exotic fruity, full of Swedish influence.

Pulp certainly makes justice to this impression. Pulp is like a force of nature in its appetite, there is no fragrance that is able to take the same intensity of Pulp. Bergamot citric acid together with a tart of black currant, apple red and green figs, cooled by exotic floral fruity notes of peach flowers and tiaras perched on a bed of bright and woody citrus and accents of sweetly creamy praline.

Rose Noir is a Ben Gorham's modern and unconventional variation about love and Damask Rose. As a classic symbol of love and devotion, rose has been reinterpreted - a precise type of rose: The Damask Rose, traditionally used in perfumes, and one of the best of its kind. Yield powerful and modern again, Gorham has wisely added more depth by darkening its character. Like love itself, Rose Noir is also very ambiguous: a bright, fresh, sweet and radiant rose with a touch of tart grapefruit and fresh freesia that, with the addition of musk and civet, achieves a subtly dirty note like an intense animal quality of its intense base of musk.
