From some years the three founders of Diptyque had made an ivy candle of which they loved the freshness, vivacity and sweet bitterness.
Eau de Lierre evokes an atelier of artists on the seafront overlooking an English garden flowers, lush and wild. Near a basin, the ivy covers an entire wall just echoing the shape of a Roman warrior, evoking fond memories.
This ivy that so impressed Yves Coueslant, Desmiond Knoox Leet and Christiane Gautrot is revealed in Eau de Lierre as a return to origins.
Olfactory family: Green
Composition: Ivy leaves, cyclamen, Gerano, green pepper, ambergris, rosewood, musky notes.

The opopanax, resin of a tree native of Iran, was often burned in the temples of ancient Greece in honor of the gods. Alexander the Great used to perfume their clothes on a perfumed brazier with resin of opopanax and spices; hence the inspiration for this fragrance created in 1986.
The Opopanax is one of the oldest scents in the world; the Egyptians already used it in their recipes of beauty. This resin gives the fragrance an aura of mysticism.
Eau Lente, literally "Slow Water" is a fragrance impossible to describe succinctly. This scent is constantly changing, as the Opopanax is released slowly. Oriental and spicy, this fragrance warms in contact with skin, and that means that at the beginning of the day it is very spicy with a predominant hint of cinnamon, while during the day gets hotter and round thanks to the spread of opopanax that releases hints of vanilla.
Olfactory Family: Oriental/Spicy
Composition: Cinnamon, Indian Spices, Opopanax

L'Eau has been the Diptyque's first fragrance to be created and was originally developed in 1968. It is based on a British recipe for pot pourri and Pomander. It is not surprising that cinnamon and cloves are among its main ingredients. These spices are mixed with geranium, sandalwood, and roses to produce an aromatic fragrance, neither male nor female. Think of a gingerbread, rich, flavorful and dark, left infused with floral notes of the head and you will appreciate this fragrance. L'Eau is a classic and authentic fragrance that borders with all the aspects of creating traditional perfumes. As the pot pourri that inspired it, it releases the different notes of its perfume in different times of the day, giving quality in constant change.
L'Eau is a fragrance for all day, its particular mix of spicy and floral notes will be the means that will take you anywhere.
Olfactory Family: Spicy/flowers
Composition: Cinnamon, cloves, Rose, Geranium, Sandalwood, Patchouli.
Candles Matched: Pomander, Cannelle

Ofrèsia is the memory of Yves Coueslant's garden of Normandy. Light and thin, it is the smell of a morning wet by dew, fresh as a freshly washed apron, sweet like the song of a bird.
In creating this Eau de Toilette has chosen the purest among the freesias, the virginal white freesia that, so delicate, contrasts perfectly with the spicy notes of black pepper, creating a shocking and unusual scent.
Clean and linear, it manages to be both simple and charming, and is not a trivial matter.
Olfactory family: Flowers.
Composition: Pepper, Freesia, white, red juniper wood.
