Estee Lauder is one of the largest companies in the market for cosmetics, fragrances and skin care and hair products. It was founded in 1946 in New York, where it still has the headquarters, by Joseph Lauder and Estee Lauder initial marketing only four products.
The production is expanded over 15 years on various products of cosmetics and perfumes, and finally in 1960 the Estee Lauder products begin to be exported outside the United States.
In 1967, Estée Lauder was rewarded by the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1968, as recognition of achievements in business. The same year Clinique Laboratories, Inc. is opened, the first company of cosmetics and perfumes dermatologically tested. Since 1981, Estée Lauder products are also exported to the Soviet Union.
Currently there are Estée Lauder stores worldwide.
